It looks like I have some locked up parts inside my steering column. Sucks to get old.
I have looked through the repair schematics and it appears to me it would be simpler to just put in a used column from a salvage yard, rather than tear down the column innards.
So could use any thoughts/experiences on which columns will work. E-series vans, probably. Gas SuperDuty trucks, sure. But dunno what kind of range of models and years in the Ford world might work.
As z31freakify said, the basic column housings from 92-07 are interchangeable so long as you put your model year-specific stuff on them. Same goes for full size cars like Crown Vics.
