Looking for assistance identifying the below wire that has been cut. Appears to be in a harness that goes to the transmission and the wire itself is brown with a yellow stripe. I'm getting a code 629 and from my research is likely related to electrical issues. It looks like it was intentionally cut by the previous owner... not sure why that would ever happen but I'm not familiar with all of the wiring connections. Thanks for any thoughts or input.
I'm curious as to why leaving it cut is even something you consider as an option. The wire is there for a reason, if the previous owner cut it, in order to "correct" something, rather than fixing it properly in the first place, well, whatever it was is still broken. Hook it back up, and see if it fixes your problem, or if the problem changes.

Laving it cut was never something I considered. Just trying to understand what it could impact as I'm trying to diagnose some stalling issues. Wasn't sure if this was something commonly done as a workaround for other problems.. again just trying to gain some knowledge from folks who may have run into it.
Transmission is E4OD. I reconnected wires and no longer get the 629 code. Very bizarre that the wire was split like that. Definitely looked intentional by the way the harness was split open.
