Headlight switch problum

Headlight switch gets hot and flickers, been replaced 2 times and still does the same thing the lights were also dimmer than usual. Could anybody tell me what's wrong pls. Thanks

could be a bad ground in the system, need to check and clean all contacts. Or the switch connectors could be loose or dirty again check and clean.

Did the problem come about suddenly after some event, like adding extra lights, or higher wattage lamps, or other high current item to the light circuit, or maybe after being in a flood, or accident, or has it come about slowly over time??? Was the replacement light switch OEM, or one that says in writing its OEM quality, or was it the lowest cost part available???
Are you having problems with fuses blowing, or lamp filaments burning out???
