I've been working on this '95 E350 turbo diesel for almost 2 months, going thru it bumper to bumper fixin everything from electrical to mechanical, new brakes, brake lines & hoses, LED lighting, grille, engine modules, alternator, filters, tires, rust, dash wiring, sterio, clearance lights, interior panels, frame scraping & undercoating, Class V trailer hitch etc the list is extensive, but I had never driven it. I drove it for the first time yesterday and it is perfect! I was pounding the steering wheel happy while driving, its the coolest truck ever! The transmission, a remanufactored Ford unit, took a while to figure itself out and shifts solid, no hesitation, the engine is strong (a newer engine from Ford) took a 1/2hr for the temp to get above the minimum mark, 60lbs oil pressure and runs like a really noisy Rolex. It has lots of power and cruises without effort. I can't wait to get back in it.
Sometimes a lot of work is just plain worth it.
I don't know if the cruise control works, lots of things I haven't tried yet from the sterio to A/C, I am more learning and listening to the engine/transmission than anything else. Once I figure out whats 'normal' noise then I'll be able to check out everything else.
