Recently bought a 1989 7.3 international. Low and behold after a few weeks of owning it my throttle cable snapped. Ordered the new part and began installing it and realized very quickly that the previous owner has Jerry rigged the wrong size cable on it. (Hence why it snapped) In doing so they removed the bracket that the cable clips to and replaced it with a piece of angle iron with notches cut out of it. Now that I have the proper cabel I'm looking for the original bracket that it clips too. I have tried searching the few things to find out a part number or something but having no luck. Unfortunately I live very far from anywhere I could dig for a scrap one.
The bracket holding it with the two bolts is what I'm after, any ideas?
Hopefully someone has a part number. Even if you get a part number you'd have to find a NOS piece. You might be better off fabricating your own bracket. Good luck!

If this photo is the one you need, a piece of angle might be an acceptable alternative.
So far from everywhere, can you post a photo of the makeshift bracket you have so we can give you options to get a permanent (but not oem) connection?
