HI,
So every now and then my touch screen just seems to lock up. How do I re-set it? What is the equivalent of control-alt-delete? This is on a 2021 Ford F-150 Supercab XL with an 8 inch touch screen. Cheers.

Try a Master Reset of the SYNC system.
This can be done in the settings menu.
Thank you MNbjm25. I knew there must be some sort of short cut. I will give it a try the next time things freeze up or stop responding. Cheers!
FYI…While that might work for you, remember that procedure is just a “soft reboot “ of the SYNC system and not reset / Master Reset of the SYNC system.
The Master Reset button is only a few clicks on the screen in the settings menu.
Good luck.

The OP was looking for how to do a soft reset. While doing a master reset my solve some problems, you can't access the settings screen if the system is frozen. Remember if you do a master reset you will have to reset all of your preferences and reconnect your phone.

I understand what you’re saying but a soft reset / re-boot of the SYNC doesn’t always fix the issue hence the reason I suggested a Master Reset because he said that “sometimes” the screen will lock up.
Also now whenever a Master Reset is down, one doesn’t lose “everything” that was previously stored in the system before said Master Reset.
Either way might and should help the OP.but it it doesn’t, he just might need a new APIM.

I thought the Master Reset was intended to purposely clear everything. It is what is used to clean personal data from the system when a vehicle is traded in, isn't it?

It can be used for that purpose but no, that’s not it’s “only” or intended purpose.
Sometimes, a soft-reboot just doesn’t do the trick to clear up weird things happening with the SYNC system hence the reason for the Master Reset feature.
Yes, one might lose some info but afterwards, it’ll only take few minutes to put said information back in the system and some things such as contacts are automatic via Bluetooth or USB.
I appreciate learning how to do both procedures. It doesn't happen often but every now and then the screen just seems to not respond to my touch commands. It's only happened once since these posts and the On/Off and Fast Forward button reset things to where the screen then responded and everything was hunky dory. Thanks to all. Share the knowledge.
