The 6.7 certainly sounded fast, but ends up only 15rpm more than the stock starter???

I somehow lost most of my Torque logging files, but I was thinking I am getting more in the 170 rpm range...?

On edit: I found one log I did after finishing all the Ground additions and had the Odyssey Extremes in - cold start with GPM On - Cranking was only 153 RPM!
Wonder if they did some updates to the 6.0 starter over the years. My original definitely didn’t sound like that and I’ve seen videos in the past where they were in the 150 to 170 range. I upgraded to the 6.7 starter because of its speed, in the 230 range.

The starters run slower over the years, as if they were wearing out. Even with new batteries and perfect wiring, they slow down.
But of course, it is also possible that the manufacturer has made technical changes to the starters.

I replaced the bearings on one of mine and that brought it back to life.
Both ends on the 6.0 and 6.4 starter are ball bearings. Not the old school bushing.

From the history of people having a no-start condition with the 6.0L starters, around 150rpm is common. If the starter is non assembly line version, and they look like the business end is the same between the years, it would make sense for an aftermarket supplier to commonize to one winding and armature standard. Visteon was the OE supplier but the last few years Ford seems to have taken supplier names off of products. You can't tell who was the supplier of brake pads anymore.

I was thinking of adding additional data points in case it helps. But if this data is unreliable and some info was copied, I would rather remove it.

His amp readings are BS. Either he has a bad ammeter or he doesn't know how to use it. I've got a 4 cylinder in the driveway that pulls more amps than he shows.

I have not watched the full video. I got tired of the Um. Guess someone did not take speech class.
I am guilty of it every now and then. I just can't stand the fillers. If you have not thought something
through and are looking for something to say just stay quiet.

unfortunately I could not reproduce the issue, so disassembling the starter motor makes not much sense.
After the arrival of the ferry in the Netherlands we stayed overnight. The next day we drove about 7 hours home to Germany. After a rest the starter worked again at the first start attempt.
