Received a email yesterday with an invite to participate in a Ford owner satisfaction survey.
Coming up on a year of ownership at the end of this month, good time for me to share my thoughts with Ford.
I tried to answer all questions as honestly as I could, what I thought was good and bad about my truck and my experience with my it.
And, of course, after I had submitted the survey, I thought of something else I should have commented on about it.
They asked for my contact info, which I gave, and I really hope they come back to me for more in-depth consultation.
If anyone fills out a survey with the 6.7. Could you please suggest that they use a more user friendly fuel filter system. Seriously, there is no reason to remove 5 screws and fuel dripping down your armpits when replacing a fuel filter.

I've changed my fuel filter twice so far and haven't had fuel drip down my armpits, or any fuel drip onto any part of my body, while changing them.
Maybe you aren't doing it correctly, or are rushing too much when changing that frame mounted filter.
I get more fuel spill mess on the underhood filter, but just use a rag under the connections when taking them loose.
Now, could the filter change be easier with a different design? Yes, but it's easier to get to the filters than the ones on my previous RAM Cummins truck.
Their response would be to take it to your dealers service center to replace it, they will be more than willing to wear diesel fuel for you.
No thanks, I don’t need a rookie with a Milwaukee impact driver stripping out the screws then making up a story about why I need a new filter housing, then dry starting my hpfp.
In the 212,000 miles I have had it it has only been at the dealership once and that was for the drivers mirror under warranty.

I got the same survey, and told them the lack of trailer specific routing in their navigation system was my biggest complaint.

OMG - I bought a Garmin 1090 and the difference in Ford's routing vs. Garmin is night and day. Ford shows no roads in some newer developed areas that Garmin has a complete map of. Garmin navigates me accurately out of shopping center parking lots. Can Ford do that? Plus I can read street names on the Garmin and it is a lot easier on the eyes, something to appreciate after a long drive.

I hear you on that, I feel the same way, but you have to admit, that WOULD be Fords response to it.

Garmin 1090
I never use the built in nav because of this. I have a Nuvicam I bought in 2015 that still gets map updates for free, and is as up to date on maps as can be. Even Rand McNally can't touch the Garmin maps. It had me going through non existent round abouts, and the dash nav showed me driving through open fields while the Garmin was dead on the route. The RM is the RV nav and it is garbage. I bought it because I was looking for integrated dash cam since I dropped teh Nuvicam and cracked the screen, and it is a heavy tablet that does not integrate the dash cam with the GPS making it useless as a dash cam, plus no mount can keep it from shaking due to it's weight.
