2020 F-350 SRW Lariat Ultimate with Adaptive Cruise.
Tofay I got a message “Front Camera needs service” then additional message that front collision inop (or something like that.
Adaptive cruise would not engage. I deselected Adaptive cruise and selected normal cruise. When I tried to rpengage cruise it once again refused and said Adaptive cruise failed.
I checked front camera when stopped and it displayed properly on the display.
I have an appointment in 2 weeks at dealership, earliest I could get it in.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? I’m hoping it isn’t a rodent chewing wiring issue since it’s been parked in a remote forest area.
It’s typical just can’t seem to be able to diagnose a problem on these truck’s , more like parts replacer’s.
This 2020 F350 is a lemon law replacement for an electrical that service couldn’t figure out. My wife asked me today can this truck be lemon Lawed also? It’s the tow vehicle for our 5th wheel travel trailer. Getting a replacement is close to impossible. I have 3 trucks on order, one late last year, and still don’t have a build date.

Good diagnostics mechanics are a rare breed, and are needed for modern day vehicles. Only going to get worse, I think the last time I took a vehicle to a dealer was for a seized caliper on a brand new Honda 15 years ago. Usually not worth the time and energy or money. Sometimes it's necessary I guess, but would be a last resort for me.
I tried to use forscan to do the service and the fix did not keep
the cause...it was me...I turned on DPF status with forscan and with my model year if you do that your camera will flip out...so I had to undo the forscan change....and the problem was fixed
I had the same issue on my 2021 F150.. Was getting the message every day. A software update helped significantly. I have only had the message once since the update.

did anyone do any forscan mods?
No forscan mods were done on this truck. It's all stock.
I got the truck back today after being in the shop for 2 weeks. I didn't push it because they are short handed. The service writer said that they lost their "Electrical guy" and the foeman was the one doing the repair. This is a very rural dealership and lots of trucks being serviced. Most trucks are working trucks for hard working cattle ranchers and farmers. My truck is used solely to tow my 5th wheel RV which I didn't have any trips currently scheduled.
The foreman called me a few times in the recant few days. He had trouble updating the software program. The program took several hours to complete and it failed to complete the first 2 times. He was able to load the program the 3rd time and called me at 7pm at night on his way home. The next day he set the ride height and test drove it to verify the repair.

My 2020 Limited, I lost the front camera choice icon in the menu. Apparently it still works as the 360 view is still active and a choice.
And this was after service for the the tow hooks and valence damage and non related recall.
Our 2020 Platinum explore went in for the rear camera blue screen recall.
That done and it came out of service with a front camera issue.
After that was repaired a week later the front camera is so foggy it is useless.
