Exclamation So things change.....

I've been dreading writing this post- but the Cliffs Notes is that I've been offered a position as a Sales/Fleet Manager at a local Chevy Dealership, and I've accepted it. The new position will involve more responsibilities, involves working for people I've worked for before (15 years, as a matter of fact), and presumably will be beneficial to both of us. This is a good news/bad news deal...

The good news- Suburban Ford has expressed interest in continuing the FTE buyers program. They have a few qualified people that would be happy to handle inquiries. Since this is a friendly parting of the ways, I'd be happy to channel information and quote inquiries to the proper person, or try to answer any questions FTE members might have. They have been, and still are one of the best Ford Dealerships I've ever been around, and they continue to hold my highest respect.

Also, there are a few orders coming in, and I'll still be shepherding those through the system- so I'm not completely out of the picture yet.

That bad news is the new guys have Chevy (that'd be me), Chrysler/Jeep, Mitsubishi, and Dodge. Sooooo..... that kind of takes me out of the new Ford biz.

Otherwise, I'll still be around like always- I'm not drop-kicking my Blue Ovals out of the driveway just because I'm changing jobs.

Wow, that's a surpise Ernie but congratulations on the new job!

I really appreciate all of the help and advice you provided to me personally over the past 12 months in my search for both Ford and Chevy products.

You'll definitely be missed around here and hopefully, time will permit you to chime in around here every so often.

Jeff left us not too long ago and we barely ever hear a peep out of him. These things happen.

Thanks and best of luck in the new job as sales/fleet manager of the Chevy dealership.

Regards,
Eric

There's zero chance of shutting me up around here. You have mail, BTW.

edit: my Suburban email is on auto-forward for the next few weeks, I'll still get all my mail. An email from the FTE link will come to my personal email.

update: Suburban will continue their relation with FTE buyers. I can answer any Ford question or forward them to our Ford goddess at Suburban. She's only been doing this for 20 years, so she knows her way around the product as well as anyone I know in the region.

Read post #5. Mikki doesn't have the time to participate on the boards, but is more than capable of putting a quote or deal together.

Hell Ernie, since the jokers at the local Ford dealer messed up my '07 F-250 order maybe I should get a Ram Mega Cab from you?

Since I was one of your last Ford deals, I'm hoping it wasn't me that sent you to the other side full time.

(Maybe you knew I'd be brining pictures of my kids by when I picked up my truck next week )
