Got these wheels for a good price, anyone know what brand they are and what they might be worth? They look a lot like my steel jackmans, but I can’t find a manufacturer yet on them. 15x8, aluminum.
Curious myself. I know where a set of them are at. I couldn't find any markings on them either. Haven't bought them yet because the guy wanted me to make an offer. Seemed to be aluminum and they looked exactly like yours.
There were a ton of steel wagon wheel manufacturers between the late 70's and the late 90's, but the aluminum wagon wheels were never as popular. Probably cause the wagon wheel was supposed to be a cheap wheel option so you could spend more on big tires. Usually if you wanted shiny wheels you got chromed steel wagons. If you were gonna spend money on aluminum rims you were getting some nice Cragars or Centerlines. Then with those being a 5 lug I'd say those are even more rare. I've seen the 8 lug 16.5 wagons a few times in aluminum over the years, but never a 5 lug. IDK about valuable? I've seen restored vintage turbines and slots anywhere from $800-$1000+ for a set of 4. I'm guessing the demand for vintage wagons isn't as high. I can't remember the last time i saw a truck with wagons on it.
Brian look on the back side where the vale stem is, I bet a little wire brush action (or some easy off oven cleaner) will reveal some #'s or a brand. X2 on the aluminum 8 spokes that are 8 lug and 16.5 are rare, I sold a set for $400 to a guy that just had to have them for his truck. I am pretty sure that Jackman only made steel rims.
At least those are 5 on 5 1/2 and 15's, so you can get some tires. But with the thick wheel face at the center hole, you need to use the long shank lug nuts.

They are asking 1K for the old school 8 lug 16.5 slotted mags.
Aluminum can be a real pain when it comes to polishing. Tried different products (mothers) and others. Had a truck driver show me one and with little effort there was a mirror like shine. Product is called zephyr. Well worth the money. Only problem I see now is because you used wire wheel you would need to use sand paper of varying grits to get rid of the grooves and scratches. You can see in the photo (a little hard) but front where polished and back was not. That was done a couple years ago.
