I don't know about the F-250 w/diesel engine but my F-250 6.2l from the factory can handle slightly more over the rear axle than the stickered payload before hitting the 6340 RAWR. From the factory I have 3216 payload on the truck in my sig line. The difference between RAWR and factory w/full fuel and driver is 3380. After I had the Leer 122 Hi-Rise installed that dropped to 3180. I only have the standard 3-leaf pack though so I suspect it will sag rather uncomfortably if I dropped a significant percentage of that payload in the bed.
