What trucks/years didn’t have the horns on front to mount bumper? I just got a *77 f350 camper special, and it doesn’t have horns for the bumper. I know there are hard to find bumper mounts, but I can’t remember what on. Out of all the trucks I have and have had, this is the first that doesn’t have them.
AFAIK only Highboys had the extra part to get the bumper on. So late made 77-79 did NOT have the need for the extra piece. So to locate the pieces, you need to locate a 73-76 High Boy. And no I do not have any of them on hand at this time. Nice "parts"(?) truck?
Maybe because it is a Camper Special, I do not know. I know that if you need to locate those brackets finding a HB in a JY (yea right) that still has the OEM bumper is your best best. Can't be that hard to fab some up for a high speed modifier like you.
Interesting 76 with twin tank flaps in the bed. Is it a real late year made 76?
I recall Camper Specials with long campers in back and front bumpers looking like porches with coolers, spares, bikes, etc on them? Like ballast or just a place to carry stuff?
I was wrong, it’s a 77. 04/77 date. Has true dual tanks and had a heavy homemade push bumper on front like tow trucks have. 460/auto. Only thing missing is tailgate.
