Intercooler boot keeps blowing off

So when I had my a pipe leaks fixed my spider cracked as it was all put back together so when I had the spider changed I had them install new intercooler boots from cnc fab. Now I’ve had the same Intercooler boot come off about five or six times, is there a problem with the pipe it looks round to me?

Clean clean clean is ticket for IC boots. Some isopropyl alcohol or brake cleaner on the tube and inside boots. Wipe them clean and make sure they're dry. Should do the trick, but if you'd like some extra insurance a little sprits of spray adhesive or even hair spray just before making them up has fixed many stubborn boots.

1. Use constant tension clamps (they have visible coil springs surrounding the T bolt that provide the constant tension)

2. Use a boot that has a retention feature that coordinates with the CAC tube. If the tube has a circumferential dent, the boot would be better retained by having a molded inner bump that nests into the tube's dent.

If the tube has a bump (my aftermarket tubes have bumps) then the boot doesn't need an indent, because it is the tube that is popping out of the boot (according to where your finger is pointing in your photo), not the boot popping off of the spider.

By the way, what brand of spider is that?

As mentioned above, clean the boot and tube with brake cleaner and reassemble.

Going forward, if the cleaning doesn't work, you can have a bead welded toward the end of the CAC tube. If there isn't one already.

If that doesn't work, get a longer boot and double up on the clamps.

If I remember correctly, you have big injectors and are making big power. Sometimes you have to improvise when things are changed in such a drastic way.
