That's a BIG hole! I'll be subscribing to see what folks have to say. I usually have to pull a few wires so I just puncture the big rubber grommet near the steering column. But that's a long way from 2".
Me too, mine was perfectly dry 6.5 years and 97k miles later. I ran 2 trailer camera wires and 3 air hoses (1 compressor in and one out to each bag) through that hole, laying and taping them flat under foot, but rounded together as they went through and exited the hole. Wrapped or stuffed space with that flexible foam pipe insulation you can buy in 6-8 foot lengths. Probably could have fit a bit more. Ditto with zip ties, but I also used left over pipe insulation in a couple places.

It does not bother my feet at all.Just plug it from the outside to prevent water intrusion. No issues in the year I have had the truck.
I used zip ties and followed the inside of the frame to neatly tuck it up.
The floor board hole is confirmed to be there on my 2019.
but, it looks like on 11 thru 16’s there might be a pre-positioned firewall hole and grommet. It’s located near the persons thumb in this picture. I’m going to have to pull my wheel well liner to see if I have that pre-positioned hole.
