Long story short.....I need to remove the front driveline in my 2002 F-250 XLT 4WD CCLB. I removed the from 4 bolts and brackets from the front differential and removed 4 bolts from the point at the transfer case. Now What??
What do I now to either drop the front or rear of this drive line. It has been on there for years as I have never personally removed it....I just need to really move the front out of the way to get to my broken Oil Tube repair....
I'm guessing front is straps and t-case end is a flange?
The flange is hubcentric, give it a few taps and it'll come free. Rather suddenly. I'd leave 2 bolts in a few turns.
The front will pop out with a pry bar. Place thru gap and push against the cross of the u-joint. BE CAREFUL, the caps can walk/fall off then you're playing pick-up-needles
A follow up question from this front drive line.....At the rear of the front drive line, once all four bolts are removed you're saying just pound on the flange? So there is nothing else holding it to the transfer case once the bolts are out?

It's hub centric so it locates on a tiny lip. It'll come off like any rotor, drum or many wheels
