Those might bolt up, but you will have to deal with the exhaust crossover in the middle of the head. If you look at your manifolds, you will see two bolts which are beside the exhaust crossover. I'm pretty sure it's easy to block them off, as without the stock manifolds connected, there is nothing going in or out of those ports.

An FT head:

You can see the intake side here:

I think you will have trouble with those on the steering side, and maybe with the front axle.

If you found headers that fit a '73 to '76 pickup, they might be close.

85e150 is spot on, they "WILL" bolt up BUT you will have to block off the cross ports. I do on my engines all the time to keep the F/A mix as cool as possible for performance and lessen the chance of lean condition pre-ignition. Also I think too that unless you get pickup headers that "tuck" tighter to the engine you could have interference with the steering. Possibly even look in to early 60's T-bird 390 headers, they hug tight as there is little room in that engine bay. Good luck brother, Al

Thanks for the info guys so if I want a direct bolt on with no screwing around with the exhaust cross over and steering column I’m better off going stock? And how did you block them off and what’s the process for doing so?

Yes, stay with what you have. Is there an exhaust leak? If not, don't mess with it, bolts have a way of breaking off. Headers do little for a low compression engine designed for low rpm torque. Dual exhaust is as for as I would go with a XD with 5 port exhaust manifolds.

Do you happen to have any pictures of how you block it off? Do you do it from the intake side or exhaust side?
