Good Morning, I searched the threads and did not find an answer to this question. I just installed a 55 gallon Titan Tank on my 2021 6.7L diesel. Twice now when filling it, if you let the pump shut off automatically it overfills the tank and burps about a half a cup of diesel down the side of the truck. I've tried it at two different gas stations with two totally different looking pumps, both did the same. Just filled it for the third time since install and as I heard the fuel coming up the filler neck, I shut it off. From what the first two sounded like, this was going to overfill as well. This is not the leak from the vent tubes some described, nor is the filler neck loose. This is the fuel overfilling and shooting out of the neck before the pump shuts off. Anyone else experience this, and is there a fix? I've reached out to Titan by email (I'll call if I can't find an answer), but no response from them. Thanks.
Sounds like air is getting trapped and not allowing the tank to burp/release air. Make sure the vent tube/hose didn't get kinked where it comes over the top of the frame rail. It is easy to miss.
Who did the install? There is a check valve that is supposed to be installed in the fill hose close to the tank. I took mine out because it wouldn’t let me fill at full bore at truck stops. With out the check valve I get the back flow like you do when the tank tops off. I wrap a paper towel around the nozzle now and it pretty much stops this from happening, mostly. I’d rather have full flow. The valve that comes with the replacement tanks is smaller than the Ford one so they don’t pass the amount of fuel truck pumps deliver. Regular pumps at gas stations were not an issue with the aftermarket valve. The Ford one is not usable in the Titan tank. It’s part of the orignal tank.

Thank you everyone for the responses. I'll check the vent hose, but I suspect it is this check valve. I'll check with the installer (professional performance shot who has done a significant number of Titan tanks) also to see if they simply deleted the check valve.
