Diesel Fillups
Hey Everybody I've got a question that hopefully you all can answer. While filling up today ($100 bucks a shot sucks) a guy with a GMC Duramax pulls up to the next pump. We get to talkin trucks and he tells me the only thing he likes about the GMC is the fuel fill ups. He says when he fills up the nozzle cuts off and it is full , can't get another ounce it the tank. My 2002 F350 7.3 cuts off , and I can get upwards of 4 more gallons in it , dosn't matter which brand , it does it everytime. Lots of foam , etc.. He said GM had something in the tanks that allowed this , possible? Typically I would have shrugged it off , but I saw it myself. Thanks for your help - Kevin

Stock the fuel tank vent line sticks into the fuel tank about 6". If you drop the tank and cut the vent off inside the tank, you will be able to fill it. It's called harpooning the tank, If you do a search you will find directions.
