Rubber intake hoses

Need to replace the two short angled rubber intake tubes that run between the throttle body and plastic "Y" that connects to the larger tube that runs to the airbox. Mine are cracked and leaked during a smoke test. Is there any source other that the JY? I've struck out around here.

Large tube with a “Y” so you must have a Mass Air truck. The only source I know about would be a junkyard.

Yes sir it is. If I were to find them in the JY they would be 30 years old and no better than what I have. I'm thinking I might try some silicone hose that's used on turbo's. One end needs a 45 degree bend in it though. IFIRC the tubes are 2" ID but I need to verify that. I'm looking at a site that sells the pipe and 45 degree bends, but I would need to join the bend to a piece of straight to complete it to the plastic "Y". Not sure of the best way to join them.

My oldest truck is 35 years old and the rubber tubes have never worn out from the air passing through them. I’m not sure what happened to the ones on your truck.

I suppose you could use new silicone hoses and connect them to the plastic Y with new clamps.

Nope. Both engines use the same throttle body. The “extra” hose goes to the port on the driver’s valve cover. It is the fresh air source for the PCV system.

Frankly, me neither. but fortunately my 4.9 is in good shape and shows no reason to be worried about it.

Thought mine was in good shape too until the smoke test revealed otherwise. It wasn't the passing of air through them that caused the problem, they had small splits in the ends from 30 years of heat cycling and being removed and replaced many times.

you could always get something like a piece of compressionable material or rubber to lay on the tb interface and the MAF sensor and then carefully put the tube on, then clamp down. see if it seals up the interface. otherwise Id say RTV and wax paper (on the TB) and trim excess once cured lol.

MAF sensor is not in play. I ordered a new one so I don't have to deal with complications when removal is necessary. Thank you all for the replies.
