I was thinking of making my own intake tube for my truck. (2003 F150 4.2L) I was told how to make it by another member here, but I had some questions. He said to get a 90 degree hose, clamp it to the throttle body, then get about 12" of exhaust pipe, which would also get clamped on. The just clamp on the intake. All of these would be 3" in diameter. My question was this:
What about your intake sensor and the intake tube? Can you just make a hole or something and attach it? He said he did this to his truck, but I just don't see how. Any advice?
better yet, in order to make it look and function right, get that exhaust tube you are using as an intake, have a muffler shop weld a threaded bung into the tube closest to the stock position and bolt the sensor on!!
places to look for 90 degee rubber elbows are 300zx 89-96
these are hoses that exceed the 3 inch OD...and will work for the 3 inch pipe.
