I just replaced all the gaskets on my 1969 Ford F-250 's carburetor as well as replacing some pieces on the float. It has a Motorcraft carb in it but I'm not sure what the exact year is, I think it's from the 70's maybe. And the Engine is a 360 or 390. Anyways, It starts up just fine but doesn't want to idle due to a broken choke. Once it warms up though from feathering the gas to keep it running, it'll idle just fine. But as soon as I put it in gear and gave it some gas, it started to stall instead of revving up. I know it's a problem with the carb as it never did this before, so what did I do wrong? I'm a novice mechanic and for sure missed on some sort of tune that I was supposed to due while the carburetor was apart.

Is this a 2 or 4-barrel carb?
You need to be as descriptive as you can with your problems. Was it working before you fixed it? Check the float level first. Make sure the accelerator pump is working. After you have made 5 or so posts you can post pictures that is a big help to anyone trying to give advice.
Could be a vacuum leak which is why you have to keep feathering the gas until it warms up...Spray WD40 around the carb base and see if rpms jump to verify if you have a vacuum leak.
Also, like Crop Duster said, make sure the float level is correct. Holley has good videos on this and their 2 barrel is the same design as the Motorcraft and Autlite 2 barrels. I recommend exploring their website on the the tech help area and they have numerous videos and articles. Good stuff.
