Grille fitment question
A stretch here, but can anyone tell me why this wouldn’t fit my 2017 Lariat?? It looks exactly the same as my 2017
I want to switch out the chrome for black to match the truck

Dealers only ask for one thing, your VIN number. If the system says it won’t fit, they give you a red light. Same with Advance Auto Parts asking for your engine type for windshield wipers lol. Ford’s system says certain grilles only work on certain trucks, even though they all appear to be interchangeable for certain years.

a long flat head screwdriver will help release the big metal tabs at the bottom of the grille (you'll see them if you look down from the top once the top half is released). otherwise you just give it some solid yanks to make the orange plastic tabs release the top half. Dont forget to unbolt the bolts along the top of the radiator brace or whatever.
