I have a 2019 6,2. Bought it with 20k and put 20k on it. I’ve had no issues with this truck except for towing. When towing a 4500 lb boat at highway speed I am hearing (as best I can explain by typing) a cycling type noise, like running a lawnmower out of gas, how it revs up and down. It is subtle at first and not noticeable at lower speeds. I have not noticed it ever happen when not towing. The trucks rpms do not change when this occurs. It is more pronounced on inclines and definitely on longer trips. I feel it slightly in the pedal but more in the steering wheel. It takes a long trip for it to get pronounced enough for my wife to hear it in the passenger seat. I have taken it to two different Ford dealers and both said they could not find anything wrong and no codes are being thrown. Any thoughts?
Since it ONLY happens with the boat I'd exclude the truck as a cause (for now). Further I'd ignore your tactile recognition of the problem because I don't know how to make sense of them.
Is something flapping on the boat? Bimini, sail covers (if appropriate!) etc? Tie downs? Perhaps you've already done this: on each side have your tie downs flipped ½ turn. Trailer brakes smooth?

Good luck.
Sorry I should have mentioned that the boat is what I often tow but has also happened with a different trailer/scissor lift. My boat has been covered and very tight as well as uncovered. New wheel bearings, tires brakes. Also seems to get worse during long trips.
On my ‘16 F-250, the Sterling axle pinion bearings began to fail. It initially was a noise I only heard while towing 75 mph or so, it was a drone that would come and go. The longer it went on, I eventually began to hear it unloaded, and then I began to hear it at slower speeds. I only heard it on the throttle, coasting or braking it was quiet.
