Ford E4OD Shifting Problems
Trying to pin point what the issue is with my truck im pretty sure it's electrical i'v been told a few times to get a new computer for it the issues are it's a little hard to get into Park it starts to roll back or goes into Reverse (almost ran over me once) when in Drive with overdrive on (it doesn't turn off or on) it shifts randomly like it shifts to fast from 3rd to 4th it's almost instant and it won't go into 2nd or 3rd sometimes it acts normal and shifts threw all gears fine Code reader says code 111 10 then 512 and won't read any other codes Truck sat for 8 years in my yard transmission gasket failed and all transmission fluid leaked out i filled it back up replaced gasket and filter Already replaced speed sensor in rear diff it didn't change anything

m7FJY&ab_channel=HotRodGavinhow about we slow down. did you define the codes yet? how did you take them? how much ATF is in your trans. You had THAT bad of a leak to lose it all???

all i can get it to read are 111 10 then 512 nothing else 512 say's it has a code reading issue i used a Innova OBD1 code reader, it's full of ATF i put like 8 quarts in it and it's showing full, when i first started to work on it there was atf all over transmission pan and nothing was showing on trans dipstick while running when up to temp

Yes that's what i was told to use by Advance Auto Parts and O'Reilys

First off it sounds like your T-30 screws are loose. Check them.

Then clear the 512 code with the code reader.
512 can be from somebody clearing the codes the wrong way by disconnecting the battery.

And there is at least part of your problem. MERCON LV will DESTROY an E4OD pretty quickly. Get it out of there ASAP! You need MERCON V, not MERCON LV.

MERCON SP is just as bad for an E4OD as MERCON LV. Get it out of there NOW!

Don't have the money to get more fluid right now Do you think my transmission is still ok it's been driven less than 1k miles since change
