So basically, what Ford has done, is to take an app that had the potential to be useful for vehicle owners, strip it down to nothing IF you don't have the Connect system on the vehicle and say OK, that's how it's going to be. I realize the TCU module can be added to get the functionality back, but the $200 price tag to add that to a 2017+ vehicle that didn't have it and the issues to get it connected almost isn't worth the effort. And I'm not going to buy a new truck just to get the feature. In essence, Ford has turned the Ford Pass app into useless drivel if you don't have the telematics on your vehicle and it's not an app worth keeping on my phone. I can get more done with FORScan and the Lite app than I can with Ford Pass. Plus I keep records for all maintenance work done on the truck. So long Ford Pass!!! It was fun while it worked properly.
