Electrically checking the wiring harness would be a good place to start.
ok I don’t know much about electricity but I do have a test light if that’s helpful . do you know where I could find a reference for what wires to check ? I tried some searching , not really sure what I’m looking for . if it’s toooo complicated maybe I can get a professional to check it but thanks for your help and patience I’ll try that if I can figure it
I think you need a professional. A test light isn't going to be much help.
sounds good thanks . so I’ve still been driving the truck around town minimally to work and camp and the last couple days it’s started to have a slight delay when I shift from park to drive or reverse but otherwise been fine it hasn’t lost anymore fluid and still hasn’t got hot . . hopefully it’s fixable haah thanks again

the truck has miraculously fixed itself today ! lol
I changed the fluid and filter a week or so ago mostly just to look for metal shavings . not sure how but it just started shifting normal again today

the truck is still driving perfect since changing the fluid . I'm guessing I got lucky and there was sediment clogging the shift valve or accumulator body or something and cleaning the magnet and fluid allowed it to free up?? anyway just today my truck developed a loud reverse alarm out of nowhere. would this be a factory item and how would I go about disabling it ? also why would it randomly start after months of not beeping??(is my transmission possessed?!)
thanks
