Reverse Lights not working
Reverse Lights not working
Hey all,
I apologize if this isn't the right place for this, let me know if I have to move it please.
I'm currently having an issue with my 2018 F250 where the reverse lights will not come on when reversing. Both bulbs are good, the brake lights on the tail light assembly work just fine, it's just the white reverse lights that fail to come on. I've looked through the manual and couldn't find any specific fuses to check, and from what I can see the fuses are all okay. I have even had a friend shift the truck through reverse and whatnot while I stood at the back and the lights don't even flicker on. I know it all runs through the body control module, but am I stuck just replacing the entire thing? Have any of you run into this problem before? TIA

Welcome to the 21st century automotive electrical system. It's basically a computer network on wheels.
Don't bother looking, there's no such switch on the side of the transmission.
1. There is no fuse that is specific to only the reversing lamps.
2. You need to scan the BCM for fault codes to see if they have disabled the reversing lamp circuit due to a detected fault. If so, the fault must be corrected and the BCM's fault code must be reset in order to restore normal operation. Severe failures will require BCM replacement.
