Had them on my 2019. When I ordered the ‘22, it was no question: I wanted them. We also have them in my wife’s ‘18 Expedition.
I won’t order another truck without them. I’d order an XLT if the Quad Beam LEDs were an option, but it’s Lariat or higher.
I feel the brightness and beam patterns are just so much better than my previous trucks before I had them in my ‘19 King Ranch. Distance and width on rural roads to/from the ranch really help. I feel like the shoulders where deer, hogs, etc are much brighter when I’m out there. My in-laws have halogens in their ‘21 Expedition and while they aren’t “bad”, for the cost compared to aftermarket (and the various issues that can occurs), for what isn’t much cost difference, OEM is the way to go for me.
I'm curious to hear as well. I jumped straight into the quad light (8 total) morimoto XB's when I got my truck. I love them, but they just don't look as good as OEM LEDs when the lights are OFF. Atleast in my opinion, on my red truck with the chrome package.

Leather and LED's were the only thing I wanted that I couldn't get on my XLT. Leather was an easy fix and relatively cheap. Lights are a bit higher but the conversion looks fairly simple. I feel like it's the last piece to my truck that I am missing.
I think the 20+ truck halogens are adequate. Have one of those.
I had a 19 with LED as well…. Great but the 20+ halogen are adequate and leaps and bounds better than the current F150 halogen and previous generation halogen as I have both of those too.

I think it runs 4 H13 bulbs.
Light output on my 2022 with stock halogen was good before I swapped headlights. However, the halogen lamps with H13 bulbs were hot as fire. The headlight plastic will most certainly prematurely wear from the heat.
IMO I hate halogen bulbs. I tried out the Morimoto hybrids but they were terrible so they went back. I currently have LED bulbs in factory halogens and although better I am still not happy. I will be calling Black Flame Customs tomorrow just to verify the DRL's and high beams will function properly with their conversion harness. I am pretty sure I asked them several months back when my truck arrived but my memory is crap these days. 3 kids zap every bit of RAM I have left!! OEM LED Headlight assemblies and ballasts from Fairway will run around $2600ish and the harness is $425.
I sent a message to BFC and he already got back to me-
Hey Chris- Thanks for emailing. The kit is 100% OEM function. Auto high beams - full DRL - everything. The Forscan programming is what makes sure the magic happens
Kits are always in stock and generally ship the next day. Thanks!
I have had both LEDs are just a much brighter and cleaner light. I also purchased the Ford ESP additional lighting warranty should I ever had an issue as they are expensive to replace.

To be fair, from fairway all the parts run about $2700, plus the $425 black flame harness, thats $3125 minus taxes and shipping for harness if applicable. From what I have gathered the $1900 morimoto head lights are similar in output to OEM LEDs. (The $1900 morimotos are definitely brighter than the $1200 hybrids) So in terms of light output vs money, the $1900 Morimotos may be something you want to consider. That said, and this is subjective, the OEM headlights look better than the all black morimotos. Is the true OEM look worth $1225(plus taxes) to you?

Yes I thought about those when I first got my truck but to me they are hideous and I absolutely despise the the goofy startup sequence they go through every time you start your truck. After having the hybrids and seeing the poor quality of them, I started reading more on them online and found numerous posts about quality issues. So they are definitely a no-go for me.
