I will preface this by asking, or pleading for you all to excuse my ignorance but I am wondering what I am looking at? I have acquired a RH front fender from a junk yard that I thought would fit my 51 F-1 but now I am not so sure. Fairly unsure to be precise. When I removed the rear lower inner reinforcement piece from my LH front fender (it came with the rest of the truck) it is considerably longer than the lower inner reinforcement that is on the junk yard fender. The junk yard fender came from a truck that has short running boards so maybe that is a clue to someone reading this thread? Maybe the junkyard fender is from an F-2 or higher? I dunno. Thanking any and all that reply in advance for your time and effort. - Peter Parker
Don't feel bad. I'm in the same club I have 2 decent F2 upper fenders and F1 lowers that I got for my F1. Live and learn. You may want to check out those running boards. Some folks use them to replace the ones on panel trucks they are pretty close to the same.
I had to save my F2 fenders by using those F1 patch panels. it's a bit of slicing and trimming, but they can be used. The F2/3 fenders do have a bigger opening as some have mentioned above and they don't make a replacement fender sadly.
