Flathead Startup Help

I just went through my 8BA and 3 speed and dropped them both in but I don’t have the fuel pump rod going up and down. I just ordered a new pushrod thinking the old was bent a little and the new bushing didn’t like the bend but no movement. Did I miss an elliptical or something while installing the cam? Should I just go electric fuel pump and not worry about it?

The eccentric for the fuel pump is integral to the cam, nothing you could have left off. If the engine is fully assembled, I'd say an electric is the way to go, otherwise you'd have to pull all the valves to replace the cam.
Are you sure there is "no" movement? The pushrod's travel is only 0.200", not a lot.

If the cam is fully seated then you may have a problem with the cam slipping on the sprocket. Pull the distributor cap to see if the rotor is turning. Or your cam lobe has gone flat.
