ATS TURBO RECOMMENDATIONS
I bought a used ATS aurora turbo 3000 for my F250 6.0 with 200,000 miles on it, without tunes and just normal bulletproofing. This turbo I bought came with up pipes and a new pedestal. Since it’s a fixed-vein turbo replacing a variable geometry one, ATS supplies a turbo control inline interrupt pass-through module that breaks into the MAP sensor line. The problem is I do not have this interrupt pass-through module and I live in California and can not pass smog with a MAP sensor code. They no longer sell this device. My question is can a Tuner like an SCT fix the map senor issue?. What would you do in my situation? I was looking for better towing power. Thanks

I live in California also, with a tune for a fixed vane turbo, good luck passing smog. The Calid and CVN will not match what the state's system expects and daily you for "Modified Software"

I recommend that you sell what you bought, then call KC turbo and buy the variable geometry turbo they recommend for your application/usage. However, unless you plan to move, you need to ensure that all parts are IM approved "in California" or have a valid CARB EO number before you install them. Russ
