Question New Turbo

I took my truck to the dealer because of some minor performance and slugishness concernes and they ended up replacing the turbo!

The truck runs like a beast now! Could I have recieved an updated version of the turbo? I can't say that I remember exactly but I think this turbo looks quite different from the original!

The paper work reads

1 4C3Z*9J460*A SENSOR ASY
1 5C3Z*12224*A CONNECTOR - 3-WAY
1 4C3Z*9F452*A VALVE ASY - MODULATOR
1 4C3Z*6K682*CBRM REMAN TURBOCHARGER ASY

"CONERN. PERFORM EEC DIAG.DTC P0470 PO401 P0299. REFER TO TSBS 061906 AND 071601 INSPECT TURBO AND REPLACED DUE TO PITTED AND RUSTED TURBINE HOUSING AND UNISON RING. CLEANED AND RETESTED EGR. SENSOR CONNECTOR CRACKED. REPLACED CONNECTOR. REASSY CLEARED DTC AND RETEST. CONCERN CORRECTED"

the unison ring in your turbo was probably stuck in a mid posistion or all the way open causing the sluggishness.

They are being machined for additional clearance in the area of the vanes and unison ring. They aren't any bigger as far as performance mods go.
