Help Identifying Vacuum Advance Unit

I hope someone can help me out here ... I know I'm not the only one.
I bought one of those A-Cardone Distributors from eBay with Points. Now I need to replace the Vacuum Canister and there are no Parts available for it. I have looked at every year replacement for anything close and came up with Nothing. So I purchased a Motocraft 12127 distributor that has the same Canister on it. On My Picture the one on the left is what I need to Know and the one on the right is what is sold as replacement. I did find a DD-191 canister that is the same except it has the screw in vacuum line. Somebody must make this part and I'm sure I'm not the only person to have this issue ... Anybody ?

Can anyone ID the Left Canister ?

When I was re-curving my dist. I wanted to replace the can because I was there.
The first one would not even bolt to the dist. body as the holes were way off.
The store did not even know what it was for
The next one looked like it would bolt up but did not have the Allen adjustment like the factory one did so I did not get it as mine was still good.

Could the one on the right be fore a v8? It also looks like it will not bolt up.
So what are we working on as your sig is a 86 and would not have points or vacuum advance as it would be a feed back system.

Hi Dave and thanks for the reply. The One on the right is what almost every parts distributor supplies for a Ford 6 cyl Points Dizzy from 1968 thru 1975, 3.9 and 4.9. The One Left is what came out of my dizzy and you are right the other one (rt) will not match the bolts to mount up let alone the arm won't fit either.
I do Have an '86 truck but did replace with a points dizzy. I'm not at all interested in the feedback and control box setup and changed it years ago. So My engine is basically a 1968-1972 as far as parts suppliers go.

I would say you can try up to 82 maybe 83 before they went to the feed back system.
When I was trying to replace mine I was using 1981 as that is what my truck is.
I also was going thru O'Reilly's auto parts as they are with in walking if I have to but seam to be pretty good on ordering parts when needed.

I wish I knew the part number of the 2nd one I got as it looked like it might of bolted up.
The only reason why I did not get it was it could not be adjusted and mine stilled worked.
Thats all I got sorry

This is what came up when I looked for my 81 F100 and it looks like the one you got as a replacement

Did you ever find a replacement vacuum pot? I'm in the exact same predicament. 1986 truck that I converted to points because the previous owner had a cheap hei swapped onto it and hacked the duraspark wiring all to hell. While attempting to recurve the points setup my friend tried to see if the vacuum was adjustable, needless to say he messed it up and now it's not working 100%.

I emailed Cardone so we'll happens

I got an email back from Cardone. Their answer was terrible, we do not sell the vacuum units, if it was a warranty issue you can return it to be repaired.
I replied asking if it's being repaired then why can't you just sell me one of the parts you'd be using to repair mine?
