I have a 2020 F-450 Platinum. Memory position 1 is linked to my key fob. Easy Entry/Exit is turned on and has been working fine up until a couple of days ago. Now, when I unlock the door, enter the truck and start the engine, everything returns to its memorized position except the steering column extension. To get the steering column to extend to the memorized position, I have to press the Memory 1 button.
It's a minor thing, obviously, but annoying nonetheless.
The problem is not related to the key fob. I've tried swapping to my wife's key fob, with the same result. It'a also not related to the specific memory position--the same thing happens in memory positions 2 and 3.
It's weird that the mirrors, seat height, seat tilt, and steering column height would all return to their memorized positions after Easy Entry, but the steering column extension would not. And it's not an issue with the steering column extension motor because the column will extend when I press the memory button. It just doesn't extend as part of the "recovery" from Easy Entry.
This sure sounds like a computer glitch. I'm wondering if there is a way to reset something to restore the proper functioning. Any ideas?
