Foreign TPMS Sensors

I’m buying a set of Tremor take-off’s in the morning and they have the factory tires and tpms mounted. I don’t yet have a TPMS relearn tool and of course I’m going to want to drive around on the new wheels after I get them. If I put the Tremor take offs on my truck and drive for a few days without doing the relearn and I just going to get a TPMS light or will I also get a check engine light?

Just look up how to train them with out the tool. It involves put truck in learn mode and letting air out until horn beeps.
the only light you will get is the TPMS light

Believe it or not, for some reason, some Fords will automatically detect the OEM TPM sensors after driving around for awhile and no further programming will be required.

If they were truly “foreign” / non-OEM TPM sensors, the above suggestion might not work.

You’re not going to hurt anything by doing this but if it doesn’t work, just get the programming tool off Amazon for less than $20.00 dollars or pull into your local Discount Tire, if you have them in your area, and they’ll program them for you.

IF they are OEM sensors, the truck will automatically recognize them.
I just installed a brand new set in my "summer" wheels and mounted the wheels at my house.
I did nothing to the truck to recognize the new sensors. They work just fine. Accurate pressure, no lights. I have driven over 1K miles. The original stock sensors are in the "winter" wheels in the shed.
I fully expected to have to reprogram the truck, but not the case.

So I put the Tremor take off’s on this morning and my truck automatically detected them.
