Can anyone else verify the Ford sensors provide temperature data?
The sensors absolutely do provide temperature data. My aftermarket TPMS tool is picking up the temperature when I scan the sensor. The real question is, "Does the truck screen report temperature data?" The older models (2017-2019) certainly do not. It sounds like it may be a 2022 feature.
My truck is a 2022 and I have only recently had the TPMS sensors installed in my fiver wheels and hooked up to the truck to set it up. After training the system/sensors, it showed the pressures and temperatures.
I haven't hooked up the sensors yet, but it looks like mine is going to show pressure and temperature. I have a 2022 Lariat Value with UTT and 5th Wheel Prep. Not sure if the feature is trim/option specific or in all trucks. Easy to see in the trailer menu though.
As I pull a Keystone Montana FW I asked on the Montana forum what TPSM system did they recommend to use on my truck and trailer. Overwhelmingly the TST 507 was the one.

I have a TST setup that I like, but figured since I was ordering a truck, I would try the ford system. I haven’t sold my TST because I might use it on my boat trailer or utility trailer.

Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't order the Ford system with a new truck. The TST system, I can install on my other trailers in just a few minutes. The monitor fits into the pocket on the dash, isn't obtrusive at all, as a matter of fact, I leave it there 24/7.

Interesting. I'm pretty sure my TST system has a cap on each valve stem and a strap wrapped around the inside of each rim.
Do you have to balance the tires with those caps in place? I guess the better question is, "How much do those caps weight?"
They aren't heavy at all, but still quite a bit more than the regular caps. We haven't noticed any difference in the tire vibrations, so we haven't done a balance.
