I would like to know what ratio 4E Is as well as what transmission code H is . I’m fairly confident trans is 3000 series Allison I’m just trying to find out if it’s 6th gear is unlocked. Thanks
But I can't find the axle and transmission codes, or anything that you can look at-repair manual for example, without paying for the download.
The older stuff has sample or demo partials that have all the key info. I haven't found anything like that on newer (1990 and up) trucks.
The transmission should have some identifying plate or info cast into the case. The axle may have the ratio stamped near the pinion, or have a plate or info stamped on the housing.
Sorry I can't get you more.
@m-chan68 sometimes drops in and may have access to this info.

Okay....sorry for being late to the party. I had posted a response to this thread a few days ago... or so I thought. Anywho.... VIN code 'G' decodes to the highest output calibration version of the Cummins 6.7L available for this truck, being 325 bhp/750 ft-lbs. Axle code '4E' decodes to a 4.63 axle ratio, and transmission code 44H decodes to an Allison MD3000 6 speed automatic transmission, according to the information I have.
