Front turn signal problem. Both front turn signal flash together whether turn on left or right. Rear signals work just fine. Ordered replacement Grote t/s housing(has replaceable switch minus wire harness) on column and same results. Ran a new wire from switch on column to lt t/s with same results. Any ideas?
It sounds like it is loosing ground somewhere if both are flashing. Could start checking that by touching wire to light housing and ground to see if it changes anything.
They do but rust , paint can interfere . Take a wire from the negative terminal from the battery and contact it to the lamp housing to check..I had the same issue and poor ground was the problem..
Quite likely that the lights are miswired...parking lights are designed to illuminate on both sides simultaneously. If the wire for the parking lights is connected to the turn signals then there will be a problem.

His name indicates he has a '51 truck, if it's stock it would be positive ground.
