bad PCM?
I have a 2001 f250 and I was getting on the Highway this morning and all the sudden my truck down shifted into 2nd and it was stuck in 2nd, I pulled over and put it in park and the truck reved up to 2500 rpms and stayed their on it's own. I crawled home with it and checked for codes and its clean, I have no idea why it did that and it runs fine now but I don't want to risk that happening again, could it be a PCM

Isn't that the main PCM? I thought there's a separate brain for the PSOM. What does the main PCM do and how do you check it, if there no obvious damage to it?
