I live in Norco Ca near Corona. There was a guy on here that recommended a shop that works on these trucks. My son's truck has an oil leak, looks like it is coming from the right side passenger side. He does have the BPD oil cooler and doesn't have time to do it his self. Any buddy?
Sorry just saw this. After he runs it, it leaks down the passenger side back of engine and leaves a spot of oil. Not sure how the PBD kit works so could be something there. To me the lines look good. He is leaving for the river end of month for a week and would not like to worry about this blowing on the way. It is a raised truck so it is hard for me to work on it and he is so busy at work, unless it is something small to fix, he dose not have time himself. The kit has been on there quite a while to.
Turbo oil feed line could be the culprit. Oil pressure sensor #2. Both would feed into valley and leak down in the back. I would look at oil senser first. It's right down below oil filter housing. They tend to blow out at the top of sensor. If that is the leak, be sure to check the connector for oil soak. Replace if soaked.

Thank you. I will take a look at it. If that is it can we get to it without tearing apart a bunch of stuff? Should be up front if I'm thinking right? God bless,
Chet
Yes simple fix. Now you might have to buy a specific socket for the oil senser. It's very tight between the oil housing and senser. You can take a deep dish socket and grind it down, to make the walls super thin like I did. It worked. Good luck.
When my oil pressure sender started leaking, an oil pressure light appeared on the control panel. It wasn't any measurable amount of oil loss, but it looked like a quart had run down and blown all over the transmission and undercarriage. Maybe they don't all fail catastrophically like mine did, but I would expect more than a drop of oil from it. The fact is, there are so many places oil could leak from on these engines: bed plate gaskets, rear main seals, turbo drain, oil cooler housing, oil filter housing, ICP, valve cover gaskets, and the list goes on. Most recently I had an oil leak at the base of the oil filler tube. Both 6.0's I have owned always had/have a drop or two hanging from the tranny bell housing.
OP, you're gonna have to find a way to get your eyeballs on top of the engine.
BTW, I never had to grind a socket to get the oil pressure sender out.

It's more then a drop! And when I looked the first time I couldn't see where it was coming from. Need to get over to his house. I told him where to look but he hasn't done it yet. I will report back if we find it. Thanks everyone so far! All help is appreciated, also just had a tooth cut out yesterday so it might be a couple days before I look!
For those of you that put on the BPD oil cooler relocate did you have to take off the turbo to install the line on the passenger side of the oil cooler? Seems to be where the leak is off that hose. Son has it torn apart to the point he says the turbo has to come off? Really hate to do this since he is so busy and might not have time to put it all back together in time for the vacation. Wish I new where to take it in my area. Not Ford for sure.
We called one that was local but they didn't want to look at it. Anyway, we got it out, going to go to a hydraulic shop to build a new line. It just pisses you off that they can't make a better hose. 2004 truck with less then 100K and both lines have now had to be replaced. The ends were 1 1/4 size. Pretty hard to remove but we did it without having to have the turbo come off. Putting it back in is going to be a trip, tightening the one under the turbo will be a bear! Thank you for your response!
