Injector Pulsewidth Spiking, Running Rough
Swapped in the 238s this weekend and got some 1023 tunes for them. Need to try out the tunes a bit more but I liked what I saw on the drive home from work. Plugged the ICP back in, no more rough idle when warm, nice and smooth as any 7.3 I've been in.
I am, however, still getting that effing pulse width spike
Long story short, I used to own this truck, sold it, bought it back and rebuilt it. When I owned it the first time I could monitor everything with TP and there were never any pulse width spikes. I still have the same PIDs and everything setup from way back as well as the same Bluetooth dongle, so nothing has changed there. Could a defective CPS cause this issue? Since I plan on keeping the truck for a while now, I am saving up to buy an AE, hopefully that will shed some light. Again, further thoughts and discussion is appreciated gents

MFDES is worth looking at. If the IPW is actually spiking I think it would be reflected there.

The truck is running better than it ever has before. 1023 tunes, FF 238/80s, RR 4x4 + KC 300 + 360* turbo setup. Going to need a BTS or SW trans soon at this rate

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
There is a special division setup in hell for everyone who ever had their hand in engineering that motor and everything about the '04-'08 F-150s... seriously, the engineering there was just sloppy, if not borderline negligent. Like a whole class of high schoolers got asked to asked to take a heroic dose of shrooms and then figure out the worst ****ing designs possible for everything and they channeled Lucifer himself to guide their demented ways..... I digress. But I'll never complain about working on anything on my truck again after that.Got FORScan going today, I still need to figure out where most things are located on there and how to set them up, but I got gages setup for FIPW, ICP, IPR duty cycle and EOT. FIPW is perfect, no spikes or anything so that's a relief now knowing I don't have something screwy going on. Think I might need to change out my IPR though, I've been having bad fuel knock, exhaust haze, and shaky idle when its cold. Runs like a top when it's warm. Anyways, many thanks for everyone that chimed in, especially Sous for the links for FORScan. The people on this forum really are some damn good guys.
