Hello everyone, first post here. I have a 2007 Ford Explorer 4.0 4WD. When I try to start it in the morning it will crank but no start. If I keep trying it will finally start. Then it will start all day. This does this quite often. I stalled out a few times while driving pulled over and started right up. Here's the bad news. I changed the - Fuel Pump - Crank Sensor - Fuel Pump Module - Fuel Pressure Sensor - Bypass Fuel Cut Off Switch. I don't know what else to do. I'm sure someone here had this problem before. Maybe someone can direct me to a discussion on this subject. This is driving me CRAZY. Thanks for your help.
What's next is what you should have done before firing the parts cannon at it. Would have saved you a ton of coin. Take it to a trained tech with the proper diagnostic equipment to figure out what part(s) have failed.
I'll add one other item to think about,..... If you used anything other than genuine Ford or Motorcraft parts, it was likely bad right out of the box.
You need a diagnostic technician not a mechanic, there is a difference. The check engine light is for vehicle operators to know when there's a system issue. Not all issues will pop that light and a skilled diag tech will still be able to find the problem and correct it whether that light is on or not.
