I apologize if I've missed this but where does it state that?

Nope, my apologies sir. I thought for sure I saw somewhere that it was only for December/January/February of 2021/22, but after reading the recall notice again see that it goes back as far as 2020. So it is a mystery why you haven't received the notice except that perhaps they used a different brake controller and firmware in the 450's. I guess the only thing you can do is see if you get something in the mail or through FordPass.

It is a mystery for sure. I mentioned earlier that I called the dealer and they said I had no open recalls. I haven't had any issues with mine with about 3k miles of towing.

Yeah all the way back to December 20 is what I had been seeing too… you had me confused for a bit… lol. Saying that, my F250 was built September 14, 2021 and so far I haven’t received a notice from Ford or on the NHTSA site/app. I did have an issue with my campers brakes on a recent trip, but I don’t think it was from the OEM brake controller… but then this recall came out, so now I’m not so sure... I’m waiting a little longer and if I still don’t get anything by next week I’ll contact my dealer and ask him just to see.

Same month my 450 was built. Interesting yours was the same month and you don't have anything yet either.

There are discrepancies on the NHTSA document. The recall dates for the F150 show 2020-2022. The dates for the Super Duty shows as 2020-2022 in one place, but just 2022 in another. The Ford document I saw shows 2022 for the Super Duty. I would hope the letters from Ford will have the correct dates once they come out.

My build date was 7/19/21 and the recall showed up in my FordPass app. Had the software update done last Thursday, 4/7, but have not towed my RV yet.

Have you had a chance to pull your RV since the update? Specifically, I’m curious if your RV running lights are still working. I had my truck in for the recall a couple of months ago. Last week was the first time since the update that I pulled my RV at night. I had no RV running lights. The brake lights, flashers, etc. worked fine; just no running lights. I tested the 7 blade connector on my truck and had no power to the running light blade (headlights on). The dealer has the truck now trying to figure it out. They hooked-up the truck to two different trailers and had the same issue. I’m fairly certain I have a problem with the truck. I’m just wondering if this was a bug created by the recall update or some other issue like a faulty module.

Seems like Ford hires the tech support guys from India to do their software programming. This is why I'm in no hurry to get the recall completed, as mine is working fine. Don't need a problem without a solution.

Just checked my RV and all lights are good to go. Looks like you might have a hardware problem.
