I say don't touch it untill something serious breaks, but in the meantime you can source a complete replacement motor to have onhand. I don't think there is any point to putting the same motor back in when the time comes, if you're going through the trouble of pulling it out... which is a lot of trouble in a van, you want all new going back in. That assumes the rest of the van is in good shape, if the body is rough then don't bother with any of it.. run it till it quits and move on.
