I got the notice on my Ford app. Called my local dealer and was told there are some issues with the software Ford is resolving before they will perform the update. I was told to call back in a week or two.
Interesting how some seem to be affected and some not. Mine is a '22 F350 built around 8/20/21 and I have not received notification from Ford and my NHSTA report states zero recalls. I have not had any trouble with the trailer braking but I have not used it a lot.
I called my dealer this morning and have an appointment for Wednesday morning to get it reprogrammed. My22 F-350 truck was built in August and did show the recall. Hopefully this is not a big deal.

I hate to say it, but I think your dealer might have been blowing smoke up your but. My dealer said he can do it, but he's booked solid for two weeks. That's probably the real issue at your dealer as well, but he should have at least let you make an appointment.

My 2022 F350 was built just after yours and I received recall notifications on the FordPass app, on myFord, and NHTSA. I recommend you also try myFord just to satisfy yourself and if it reports back with no recalls, let it pass. I would have also been concerned, but no recalls is a good thing.

Thanks, I’ll call another dealer not too far away and see if I can make an appointment

Same issue, local dealer stated there are software problems and the recall can’t be completed yet on my ‘22 F450. I’m on a road trip towing a 24k 5th wheel and the trailer module is causing all sorts of weird behavior. Frequent trailer disconnects, lighting issues, brake issues, etc. Will have to check with another dealer on this, I’ll be towing in the mountains next week and losing brakes is no bueno.
My 2022 F250 STX didn’t come with the brake controller installed from the factory, so I installed the OEM brake controller from Fairway Ford myself and enabled it with Forscan. I’m assuming my truck won’t get a recall notice in this case but I’ll check with the dealer tomorrow.
I just saw the article about the trailer brake controller so I checked the NHTSA site and it returned a recall (but not the trailer brake controller).
It says this is an open recall on my 2022 F350 (built in Sept. 2021):
But the Ford Recall lookup says there are no active recalls for my VIN and nothing is in the FordPass app, either.
Whose information is more accurate? Ford's or the NHTSA?

Last week I had the update done to my 2022 F450 Platinum. The dealer noted that there was a note in their system mentioning that it may not work on 2022 models, but they tried anyway and did an update. When I got the truck back, I first noticed that the brake controller gain was back at the default position of 10, vs the 7 I last set it at. I towed this last weekend on a route I always lose the brakes, and I never lost them, so it seems to work so far.
