We use distilled water in our Keurig to keep it clean from scaling. And I use it in my CPAP machine also like Bone.

we use R/O water for the keurig...but 100% of the water coming into the house goes through a resin bed to remove dissolved solids ..then the drinking, ice and coffee water is all passed through r/o system.

no scaling .

we have very soft water coming in from supply system, but it has high chlorine,
so thats why we put in the water softener and r/o

Yeah we have city water out here. Not all have it in the general area. Some are on wells out this way. But the water here is pretty hard.

yep we get our water from a criminal organization called southwest water/monarch they have a well on sight and a waste treatment plant.
its over the top pricey
if you screw up and go over 10k in summer they double on top of normal rates

we have seen 250 and up in summer for just 6k gallons and 500 for 10k
so we conserve. still 3k a month for two people and washing clothes and cars is not to bad on usage, plus we catch a/c drain water and ro effluent into large tanks to water plants
Base Water 0 gallons $54.15
Water gallonage per 1k gal. $7.47
water gallonage rate over 2k to 10k $9.20

Base Sewer $80.29
Sewer gallonage per 1k gal. $2.64

TCEQ fee based on gallonage $1.77
can range from 1.50- 5.00
TCEQ fee over 5k $1.86
