An anti-theft system?

Nope. My rig has a manual transmission!

Interesting concept. If it has a coil can still just jumper to 12v and start motor. Hood lock would be needed with it to be robust.

I use an isolation relay to prevent any jumpering under hood or under dash. With EFI, MSD and so on it is not simple to hot wire.

HIO so does mine but that apparently doesn't give me as much reassurance as it does you!

I like the concept but wonder if I would remove it and keep it on my person at all times... I probably would not. Maybe if it was smaller.

I have considered hidden a hidden switch but again wonder how much I would use it.

I have looked at a key pad style switches but do I want to enter a code every time to start it? Key pads can also show the code numbers used if they wear or get grungy.

I like the idea of a RFID key chain like newer cars use for keyless starting but how robust are aftermarket electrics? Will it leave me stranded somewhere?

GPS tracking is the only think I do use. It may be too late by the time it is found though.

So have good insurance is the best option I can think of.

If you go somewhere you are worried about, remove the coil wire. Then put it in your wife's purse.

Ruler yea I agree maybe not all the time, but I would pull it every night.

Jeffafa, my issue is where I live, I don't have a garage for it and I live on a high traffic road and with the prices going up I'm worried about someone trying to grab it at night...

A battery disconnect and a good hood lock. I believe this is your best option.
