looking to do the rear 38 gallon conversion on my 93 f350 7.5L 460 and was wondering if the 93 broncos fuel pump and sending unit for the 33 gallon would fit? or even the 93 E350 35 gallon fuel pump sending unit and float. because I know that our f350s only have the 18 and 19 gallon float levels that i was wondering instead of creating and fabricating a new float and extending the f350s fuel pump if you could just drop in the broncos 33 gallon fuel pump/sending unit/float or the e350s and would save more time and be easier?

I just did this on my 86 and it wasnt that hard to extend the existing pickup/ float.
get some compression fittings use the pipe that came with the kit. If you bought the tank with the kit.
all you need to do is cut the one tube, bend the other one so it can fit into the hole.
bend the float arm so it drops lower into the tank.
to answer your real question, idk for sure if the 33 gal hardware will fit.
As for reading the fuel level, it wont matter what you use, it will read full until the float arm can start to drop. In my case it doesn't come off full until about half a tank (19gals left) than it reads normal.
E on the gauge still leaves about 8 gallons left, yours may vary depending on how far you bend your float arm.
edited to add, I didnt extend the return tube, I didn't see any reason to because my truck doesnt have in tank pumps, only a mechanical. With FI, you may need to extend the other tube as well.
also you will still need to modify the 33 gallon pickup, it wont reach to bottom of tank, that is a guess . But I'd plan on expecting to do that if you go that route
I think either way will work for you
Dustys method is what I would do using your existing pump
That way when some nut like me wanted to replace the pump in 20 years they just buy the pump for your truck
Instead of having to match it up with a Bronco pump
I would take it one step further and braze up the sender pipe to lengthen it
I would also weld up a new float wire and make it longer too
That way the gauge may work correctly
I do think a simple Bronco swap would work but you will be running out of gas at 1/4 tank if no mods are made to the sender
Yep I forgot you need to lengthen the ground wire for in tank pump.
guy on YouTube shows how he did that.
since I didnt have the in tank pump it wasnt necessary for me. I think he moved his float also.
just bending the float arm down with a little trial and error worked here.
Just noticed the 'looking to do the rear 38 gallon conversion"
Do they not offer the correct pump for this 38 gallon tank you are getting?
Is it a cheap aftermarket pump?
Then, okay I get it
