Aftermarket fuel sending units?

Where is the cheapest place to get a replacement fuel sending unit? Is it possible to get only the sending unit without the whole pump assembly?

Any leads would be appreciated!

I am going through the same thing! They no longer make the sending unit for a carburated 87-351, they told me obsolite!! I can get on with a fuel pump attached for $150, don't need a fuel pump! So what I am going to do is use a fuel level sender for a marine fuel tank $27 drill the hole in the tank for it and be done with it. They all use a resitive ground circuit to send the signal. I will let ya know how it works out!
